The restaurant: We don’t know. A woman brought us our dinner. She also paid for our dinner. And after we ate our dinner, she washed our socks. We’d still be eating wings every day if more women would do their jobs as well as this one. The wings: 10 wings for $9.85 ($0.98/wing). The restaurant: More of an open bar mixed with a casual lounge with frogs stuck upside down on the ceiling. I know, we were confused too. We did find the décor misleading, however- with the amount of leopard print sofas and gaudy framed poster art hung on the walls we weren’t sure whether we’d stumbled into some “woman parlor” or Fran Drescher’s house.

It was day 16 of Wingtember and the top wing stop at the end of our quest. So it only makes sense that on Wingsday the 13th we’d rush back to Ye Rustic Inn for a plate of 18 wings from the Hot Wing Gods to soothe us into Thursday.

We’ve encountered a number of individuals who haven’t been able to believe that we were able to go to 30 different hot wing establishments for each day of Wingtember. We’d like to point out that not only were we able to visit 30 separate locations, but we are still sitting on a very LONG list of “hold” restaurants that we held close in the event of a hot wing closure...

The restaurant: The epitome of the Sunset Strip. We arrived just in time to catch Dane Cook park his car at a valet only street meter and walk in his size double zero woman. The restaurant itself is on the second story- bar to the right, restaurant to the left. The place glows a reddish orange with help from “drops of ketchup” globe lights that hang from the ceiling. Plenty of hot wing restaurants in the last 30 days claimed to have the ‘Best Wings in LA.’ And while we found flaws in most of the claims, we agree with one. We’re also pointing out the worst because it’s more than our civic duty- it’s our wing-loving man duty.
