The restaurant: We’ve been regulars in the Glendale dining society going on three years and somehow we JUST sauntered into this joint. Which, by the way, we repeat visited another two times in the same week. How’s that for selling it? The restaurant, we’re sorry, TIKI BAR, is located just across the street from our beloved Hot Wings Cafe with dual entrances in the front and back of the building, which helps us avoid shielding our faces from our wing family across the way. Inside you’ll find a relaxing atmosphere of stuffed gorillas paddling a canoe, seashell stained glass light fixtures and a tropical fish tank in the main dining room to really set the scene. Have you booked your next group function at Damon’s yet? Because we have… for the next ten years.

The wings: 6 wings for $8.00 ($1.34/wing). Very rarely do we get to say we actually know what chicken tastes like. Yeah, yeah- everything tastes like “chicken” but when’s the last time you had “good chicken?” We’ve had good chicken. At Damon’s. Their wings are not hot but are covered in an incredible BBQ sauce that’ll have you asking to lick the chef’s fingers. It’s a great start to re-establish a “wing blog” because Damon’s wings reminded us why we love doing this- being able to find a place serving great wings like this.

As an American who loves wings more than her own grandmother (sorry Nana), living in London is getting be a bit of a buzzkill. No Wings. I make my own but its just not the same.
This is an ode to my lovely buffalo wings waiting for me with extra sauce on the side and heaps of ranch to dip, I look forward to the day when we may be reunited. It’s no secret that although the best Los Angeles area hot wings we’ve tried “to date” is Ye Rustic Inn on Hillhurst Ave. we’re head over heels in love with Hot Wings Cafe. The people, the service, that fact that they know our order by heart and the complimentary wetnaps makes it our #1 bone towering joint.
